Spend a Day in the Seventeenth Century with the Swords and Spindles team

Would you like to spend a day in the seventeenth century with some of the Swords and Spindles team? Mistress Agnes’ alter ego, Janet Few, will be running a day course in the unique setting of Poundstock Gildhouse, near Bude, Cornwall on Saturday 25 April 2015 from 10.30-4.00.
The course, ‘Your Seventeenth Century Ancestors’, will include an introduction to seventeenth century documentary sources that are useful to those researching local and family history. The main part of the day will be spent learning about how your seventeenth century ancestors may have lived their lives. In true ‘Swords and Spindles’ style, there will be plenty of opportunity to examine artefacts and try activities the seventeenth century way. With guest appearances from some of the inhabitants of ‘Swords and Spindles’.
Refreshments will be provided but please bring a packed lunch. £15 per person. For more details, or to book, please contact Mistress Agnes at historyinterpreter@hotmail.co.uk or Swords and Spindles.
